Working Camps 2009

What is a working camp ?
Before entering the working site, a volunteer must be asked a multidude of questions. A working site, what exactly is it? What purpose does it serve? And who attends these camps ? All these questions require answers.

A camp
It is the grouping of individuals to a specific area for a short period of time in order to achieve a particular objective. On the camp, the interest of the group is of utmost importance and the camp site workers are subject to a predetermined set of rules and regulations. One may question the development of these working groups. Is it a fashion? Is it a waste of time? Is it more efficient? Each working group has its own specific interests. From 5 to 20 individuals are designated to each of these collective working camps.

B . Working site
A working site is equally a place reserved for volunteer workers in order to achieve the goals of their specific project. The site is also the place where the workers carry out their objectives. On a working site, the collective working environment creates a dynamic that is conducive to learning. The work is organised in a structured manner.
