Working Camps for May/June 2009
This prevention project concerning sexually transmitted diseases, HIV/AIDS and Malaria was initiated by 7 internes from the university of south Brittanyn in the village of Tsévié. This summer, the university relaunches this project in order to help the target populations to become aware of the danger of being unaware of these scourges.
The result that the students provided was shocking showing that many of the young people were very reluctant to use contraception or to carry out a sceening test.

The work in question is to highlight to the youth the importance of wearing contraception(feminine/masculine) in order to protect them from sexually transmitted diseases or AIDS, afterwards inform pregnant women about the usage of soaked mosquito nets to prevent mosquito bites, carriers of malaria. These different means of awareness will be done in the workshops for hairdressing, sewing, woodwork and in secondary schools.

This project was extended openly to a considerable number of populations who were misinformed about many current problems.
The sessions of awareness are always organised under the topics of sexually transmitted diseases/HIV/AIDS within the populationn of Lavier
During the course of these awareness sessions ; the volunteers will pass through the secondary schools and different workshops in order to inform people about AIDS and malaria.
The sessions which distribute contraceptives and soaked mosquito nets will be organised according to the resources of the association.
N.B: Training is organised before departure in order tio inform all of the volunteers and to arm them with precise information to cover these different themes.
